  • Procedural tile map.

I want to create a procedural tile map.
Since the number of tiles will be large, I think to merge the tiles into a procedurally generated mesh.
I did something similar in Unity, how do I do this in Wave editor?

I want to create a mesh (representing tile map) in the form of a plane (like on image below) and assign texture UV coordinates to it.

The mesh is a tile map consisting of one object, rather than a set of individual tiles.

          HI yhplr

Have you checked our TiledMap extension?
Here you can find more info: https://github.com/WaveEngine/Docume...-from-TiledMap
Additionally, you can check the source code of TileMap integration here: https://github.com/WaveEngine/Extens...ngine.TiledMap
          Sample: https://github.com/WaveEngine/Sample...sions/TiledMap

In this extension, we generate a tile map mesh from a tmx file (exported with the Tiled Map editor). Maybe you can use this extension, or use as a getting started for your own solution.

This solution can help you ?

          Best regards,
          David Ávila

Thanks, I'll try to use this extension and let you know what I did.
I need to figure out how best to break the whole map into chunks.
