  • Quick question from a beginner

How does this engine differ on monogame? Since both team created the engine with XNA in mind?

And Uh,, Just installed this engine but I cant see the wave engine option on my VS2015 when I create a new project. Does the latest version of wave support VS2015?

I think Wave Engine is combination of Mono Game (Renderer) and Unity (Component Architect). If you are beginner, you should read some Unity Tutorial (because high-level API of Wave is very similar Unity). Then, if you want to deep access to low-level API (like write owner component, effect...), you should read Mono Game Tutorial

      Hi skadush,

Currently, our installer doesn't have support for VS2015, but you can open without problem a legacy WaveEngine project from VS2015.

Here you can find a lot of code and samples that you can open using VS2015: https://github.com/waveengine

If you can't wait for the next WaveEngine installer with VS2015 support, you can install the WaveEngine templates manually:

      Steps,

1- Download the current templates: http://wave.blob.core.windows.net/sh...eTemplates.zip

2- Copy the content to C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\Visual Studio 2015\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Wave Engine

      3- Open the VS2015

      I hope that helps.
